CareCloud, provider of cloud-based practice management, electronic health records (EHR), and medical billing software and services, today announced that The Rhode Island Eye Institute has selected CareCloud’s cloud-based practice management solution, CareCloud Central, for its 20 providers across four locations. The Rhode Island Eye Institute will harness CareCloud’s practice management offering to help streamline its operations and collections processes. In addition, The Rhode Island Eye Institute will leverage Modernizing Medicine’s Electronic Medical Assistant® (EMA™), a cloud-based, specialty-specific EHR system. The two offerings provide a clinical and financial platform that can help enhance patient care and improve practice performance.

“As we looked to replace our current financial and administrative system, it became clear that CareCloud was best suited to help us enhance overall practice performance,” said Robert L. Bahr, M.D. of The Rhode Island Eye Institute. “Its flexible, cloud-based practice management system will allow us to realize more revenue and simplifying the administrative demands across all of the providers and locations in our group.”

CareCloud Central is a complete practice management solution that can be accessed via any web browser and features CareCloud’s award-winning user experience and design. CareCloud Central also offers expert support, reporting tools, automated claim submission, and comprehensive analytics reporting that enable medical groups to track and optimize revenue and operations performance in real-time.

The Rhode Island Eye Institute has also selected to use CareCloud’s new CollectiveIQ offering, an advanced collection of automated billing rules, built partly on the content of industry leaders and embedded within the CareCloud platform, to help medical practices and enterprises increase collections and margins through faster, more accurate claims submission. With CollectiveIQ’s rules built into CareCloud Central, The Rhode Island Eye Institute staff can now proactively fix billing issues without leaving their familiar workflows or CareCloud’s user-friendly interface.

“We are excited to have one of New England’s leading ophthalmology practices select our practice management solution in order to boost overall productivity and streamline administrative tasks,” said Albert Santalo, CareCloud’s CEO and Chairman. “More and more sizeable medical groups are seeking the benefits of cloud-based offerings to take their practice performance to the next level while preparing for various billing reform mandates in healthcare. This partnership also speaks to the rapid uptake of our new CollectiveIQ offering, which we announced to the market just one month ago.”
