Precyse University Offers On-Demand ICD-10 Educational Smartphone Apps

Precyse University announces the availability of on-demand ICD-10 educational smartphone apps designed to prepare coders, physicians, nurses, case managers, administrative staff and other populations for the transition to ICD-10.

Available on Apple™, Google Play™ (Android Store) and Amazon®Store , the ICD-10 smartphone apps will help make content easier to deliver and update for ICD-10 impacted staff. Precyse University has also launched courses capable of running on mobile-ready devices, specifically optimized for the iPad®.

Precyse University Offers On-Demand ICD-10 Educational Smartphone AppsICD-10 Doc Guide – Allows the user to enter the name of a condition or disease and receive the documentation tips and strategies to document the medical record with the specificity required for ICD-10 as well as improved documentation in ICD-9. This app is perfect for physicians, nurses, clinical documentation improvement specialists and other clinicians who need a tool to quickly retrieve information on how to document the most common diseases and conditions.

Precyse University Offers On-Demand ICD-10 Educational Smartphone AppsICD-10 Doc Talk – Developed in collaboration with Bruce Scott, M.D., a practicing physician, surgeon and clinical educator, this app allows the user to listen to specialty-specific audio webinars designed to provide an overview of the impact ICD-10 will have on each specialty. These short audio webinars educate on the impacts within each specialty with targeted focus on the documentation requirements needed for ICD-10 specificity. This app is perfect for physicians, physician assistants, clinical documentation improvement specialists/nurses and other clinicians who will document or support the documentation of the medical record when ICD-10 arrives.

Precyse University Offers On-Demand ICD-10 Educational Smartphone AppsICD-10 Flash Cards – This innovative and interactive app offers more than 25 decks and more than 1,000 individual flash cards that allow the user to practice and test their knowledge and memory of ICD-10 concepts, terms, definitions and guidelines that will be required for ICD-10 mastery. These decks and cards were chosen based on those terms and concepts that will require immediate retrieval and memorization. The user can choose to review only one deck, select multiple decks at the same time or scramble all the decks together for the ultimate challenge.

Precyse University Offers On-Demand ICD-10 Educational Smartphone AppsICD-10 Virtual Code Book – Allows the user to enter clinical terms and/or disease/condition names to search for correct and specific ICD-10-CM codes without the use of a code book or encoder. Users can enter additional clinical words and modifiers to refine searches and drive to a more specific code especially for conditions offering hundreds of code choices. The app also offers specific ICD-10 documentation tips for many of the conditions listed, allowing the user to ensure the required documentation is included with the code choice.

Precyse University Offers On-Demand ICD-10 Educational Smartphone AppsPrecyse University Pharma Flash Cards – Allows the user to test his/her knowledge of pharmacological terms, drugs and medications by brand name, generic name and by body system. This app offers more than 3,000 flash cards across 50 decks and is organized for ease of use to allow practice from brand to generic and generic to brand. This app is perfect for nursing students, nurses, pharmacy techs, medical coders and clinical staff within any healthcare setting or organization. The app offers thousands of flash cards, with additional cards continuously added.
