What You Should Know

  • XiFin, Inc. and Notable Systems announced a multi-year strategic alliance to develop and embed purpose-built agentic AI capabilities across the XiFin Empower AI RCM ecosystem.
  • As part of the multi-year alliance, XiFin made a strategic investment in Notable Systems during Notable’s Series B financing round.
  • The partnership targets complex billing domains—including diagnostics, outpatient laboratories, specialty pharmacies, and durable medical equipment (DME)—by automating unstructured requisitions, prescriptions, medical records, and payer correspondence.
  • The first production deployment from the alliance is XiFin Empower DocExtract, which uses Notable’s document intelligence to autonomously extract, classify, split, label, and route incoming medical documents into downstream RCM workflows.
  • Notable Systems is executing a strategic realignment to focus its engineering and embedded delivery resources on enterprise RCM platforms and major provider organizations.

Unlocking Unstructured Clinical Inputs

In complex ancillary care, claim adjudication frequently hinges on high volumes of unstructured paper and digital files—such as physician requisitions, written prescriptions, medical chart notes, and payer correspondence. Standard rules engines and basic optical character recognition (OCR) struggle to interpret this data, forcing back-office teams into manual sorting, document splitting, and exception handling that drives up cost-to-collect and creates technical denials.

The alliance tackles this operational friction by uniting Notable’s document intelligence with XiFin’s enterprise billing data and workflow orchestration:

  • Production Rollout of XiFin Empower DocExtract: Deploys an integrated solution that extracts, classifies, splits, labels, and routes incoming medical records, orders, and correspondence directly into appropriate billing and intake work queues.
  • Agentic Claims Qualification: AI agents autonomously cross-reference clinical orders, payer policies, and claim criteria to move complex work forward without requiring human data entry.
  • Targeting High-Complexity Ancillaries: Focuses on specialized sectors where documentation complexity is highest—specifically diagnostic labs, medical devices, DME/HME, and specialty pharmacy workflows.
