Epic MyChart most widely used patient portal according to KLAS survey that more than half of healthcare providers are utilizing patient portal technology
57% of healthcare providers already have a patient portal solution in place including systems from Cerner, Epic, Intuit Health, Jardogs, MEDSEEK, NextGen, and Relay Health according to recent KLAS survey. Epic’s portal solution, MyWay leads the group as the most widely used patient portal among providers.
Meaningful Use Stage 2 requires providers to have at least 5% of patients using a patient portal in order to quality for the incentive payments.
The report entitled, “Patient Portals: the Path of Least Resistance”” by Mark Allphin, Research Director at KLAS comprised of 104 interviewed providers about which patient portal solutions are being used or considered and what role they are playing as the industry “pushes” towards meaningful use and “pulls” at accountable care.
