SimonMed Imaging Launches AI-Powered Personalized Breast Cancer Detection Program

What You Should Know:

– SimonMed Imaging, one of the largest outpatient medical imaging providers in the United States, today announced the launch of Mammogram+ and Mammogram+ Heart, two new AI-enhanced mammogram services designed to improve early detection and advance preventative care.

– These services aim to empower women with the latest technology to take charge of their breast and heart health.

Mammogram+: Advancing Breast Cancer Screening

Mammogram+ represents SimonMed’s most advanced breast cancer screening to date. It combines two state-of-the-art AI technologies with expert breast radiologist review. This service is designed to spot cancer earlier and deliver more personalized insights on breast density and lifetime risk, replacing their previous PBCD (Personalized Breast Cancer Detection) program.

Mammogram+ Heart: Dual Detection for Breast and Cardiovascular Health

Building on the new technology in breast health, Mammogram+ Heart enhances standard mammography by incorporating an AI-based assessment of Breast Arterial Calcification (BAC). BAC is an emerging clinical marker linked to cardiovascular risk in women. This dual-purpose screening enables the detection of both breast cancer and early signs of heart disease in a single appointment.

Availability and Accessibility

Mammogram+ and Mammogram+ Heart are now available at SimonMed locations nationwide that offer mammography services. These are optional add-ons to a standard screening mammogram. Mammogram+ costs an additional $50, and Mammogram+ Heart costs an additional $90. No referral is needed for patients to include either service as part of their regular mammogram.

“At SimonMed Imaging, we’re focused on empowering women with the latest technology to take charge of their health. Mammogram+ and Mammogram+ Heart combine advanced AI to detect breast cancer earlier and identify early signs of heart disease—offering valuable insight into both breast and heart health through a single exam,” said Dr. John Simon, CEO and Founder of SimonMed Imaging.
