Systole Health Raises $2M to Transform Women's Heart Health with Group Virtual Care

What You Should Know:

– Systole Health, a telehealth company focused on women’s heart health, today announced a $2M pre-seed funding round led by Benchstrength with participation from January Ventures, J Ventures, and Tom X. Lee (founder of One Medical),

– The investment will support the company’s mission to improve cardiovascular care for women through innovative group virtual visits.

Addressing a Critical Need in Women’s Health

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death among women, yet cardiovascular care for women is often inadequate. Systole Health addresses this challenge by:

  • Providing longer, more comprehensive appointments: Hour-long group visits allow for in-depth discussions and personalized guidance, contrasting with the typical rushed 18-minute doctor visit.
  • Fostering a supportive community: Group sessions create a safe and encouraging environment for women to share their experiences and learn from each other.
  • Improving access to care: Virtual care eliminates barriers to access, making it easier for women to receive the care they need, regardless of location.

Expanding Reach and Impact

Currently piloting its program in Massachusetts and Florida, Systole Health plans to use this funding to:

  • Expand into new markets: Bring its innovative care model to women across the United States.
  • Build its clinical team: Recruit experienced healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care.
  • Form strategic partnerships: Collaborate with healthcare providers and payers to integrate its services into the broader healthcare ecosystem.

Dr. Simin Lee, CEO and founder of Systole Health notes, “Our mission is to bend the curve of heart disease in women by introducing a new care model that prioritizes outcomes and connection. As a cardiologist, I have witnessed firsthand the struggles women face in managing their heart health. Our solution is built for women by women, addressing the unique challenges we experience and expanding access to the kind of care we want for our mothers, aunts, sisters, and daughters.”
