- Located in Tarrant County, the 582-bed hospital includes an acute care facility, outpatient care centers, and psychiatric emergency room. Its Level I Trauma Center receives over 125,000 emergency department visits annually from local and air EMS agencies, as well as others outside the county.
Gun Detection System Integrated at JPS Health Network for Swift Response to Potential Threats
ZeroEyes has integrated its HIPAA-compliant AI gun detection and situational awareness software with JPS Health Network’s existing digital security cameras. In the event of gun detection, images are immediately shared with the 24/7 ZeroEyes Operations Center (ZOC), staffed by trained U.S. military and law enforcement veterans. Upon validation of the threat, the ZOC dispatches alerts and actionable intelligence, including visual description, gun type, and last known location, to the on-site hospital police department within 3 to 5 seconds.
Research from the ZeroEyes Research Center reveals that nearly 50% of gun violence incidents at healthcare facilities occur within the building. Among these incidents, 42% are targeted attacks, and 39% are spontaneous. The increase in violent incidents within healthcare facilities has led around 40 states to enact or strengthen laws addressing violence against healthcare workers.
