GE HealthCare Receives FDA Clearance for Digital Expert Access,

– GE HealthCare has received FDA 510(k) clearance for the new version of Digital Expert Access with remote scanning.

– This solution is the first remote patient scan solution with 510(k) clearance. It enables remote patient scanning and is compatible with GE HealthCare magnetic resonance (MR) devices.

Exclusive Distribution Agreement

GE HealthCare has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with IONIC Health, a global technology company specializing in healthcare automation technologies. IONIC Health’s 510(k)-pending nCommand Lite technology is designed to include vendor-agnostic remote scanning capabilities. The collaboration with IONIC Health aims to provide a multi-vendor, multi-modality remote scanning solution globally. IONIC Health’s nCommand Lite system is intended to offer real-time guidance for technologists operating scanners and multi-vendor, multi-modality capabilities.

Digital Expert Access Background

Digital Expert Access is a real-time, virtual solution that facilitates collaboration among radiology teams, whether within a single hospital or across multiple locations. It allows for the sharing of expertise, best practices, and advice, as well as remote access to key controls in the scan room. The new version of Digital Expert Access with remote scanning allows clinical experts to initiate scans on GE HealthCare MR devices remotely. This feature enhances collaboration, improves exam workflows, speeds up decision-making, and helps achieve clinical and efficiency goals.
