Devin Jopp Steps Down As President & CEO of WEDI
Devin Jopp

Devin Jopp, Ed.D, President and CEO of Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) is stepping down from the post after four years at the Reston, VA-based not for profit organization. The WEDI Board of Directors has formed a search committee to help identify a replacement for Dr. Jopp.

During his four-year tenture, Dr. Jopp coordinated the development of the 2013 WEDI Report, which serves as an industry consensus roadmap for the next generation of healthcare data exchange. Additionally, Dr. Jopp helped facilitate the creation of the “virtual clipboard”, an industry initiative created to automate the typically paper-intensive check-in process at clinical care centers.

“The Board expresses its appreciation to Dr. Jopp for his service as CEO over the past four years and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Jean Narcisi, chair of the WEDI Board of Directors. “WEDI remains steadfast in its commitment to improving the quality of healthcare through effective and efficient information exchange, and we look forward to a new year of growth, innovation and collaboration with our members.”

“It has been a true pleasure serving WEDI and its incredible members over the past four years,” said Dr. Jopp in an official statement. As I look ahead, I remain extremely excited about the future of the organization and the important role that WEDI plays in promoting the effective use of health information technology.”
