What You Should Know:

– Emagine Solutions Technology has announced a major redesign and relaunch of its popular app, The Journey Pregnancy.

– The update introduces a host of new features aimed at providing a more seamless and empowering experience for women and healthcare providers. The free app, already a robust tool for pre- and post-partum care, now includes enhanced features for personalized support and health tracking.

AI-Powered Virtual Doula

The most significant new feature is an AI-powered virtual doula. This chatbot offers 24/7 support, providing users with research-backed guidance and answering questions at any time. The virtual doula also proactively checks in with users weekly, creating a more continuous and supportive experience. This service is particularly valuable for patients who might feel more comfortable asking a doula questions before speaking with their doctor. By regularly monitoring all aspects of health and wellness, the app helps women feel more supported throughout their journey.

In addition to the virtual doula, the updated app now includes daily medication tracking and a new community forum. This forum allows users to ask questions anonymously, connect with other expectant parents, and even periodically engage with a nurse practitioner. These features are designed to create a supportive network and provide a safe space for sharing experiences.

Redesigned for a Better User Experience

Beyond the new services, the entire app has been redesigned from the ground up. It now features better graphics and visuals for tracking health trends like blood pressure, as well as new animations and notifications. The user interface is more intuitive, making it easier for women to proactively track their health from the early days of pregnancy through to their postpartum recovery. The app already seamlessly integrates with existing tools like Epic, Withings, and Fitbit.

“Together, these new services don’t act as a replacement for a real doula or medical professional but as enhancements to the care that patients are already receiving,” says Emagine Solutions Technology Co-founder and CEO Courtney Williams. “By giving patients a powerful suite of prenatal and postpartum tools, we’re  supplementing visits with providers at a time when these maternal health resources are stretched thin or inaccessible. This is especially powerful for the 35% of US counties that are maternity care deserts and don’t have access to a birth hospital or practicing OBGYN.”

The Journey Pregnancy App is available for free at Apple’s App Store and Google Play. For more info, visit: thejourney.health.
