Verily and Vanderbilt Extend Partnership to Power NIH's All of Us Researcher Workbench

What You Should Know:

– Verily and Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) today announced the continuation of their crucial partnership, ensuring the ongoing success and enhancement of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) All of Us Research Program’s Researcher Workbench platform.

– The extended 5-year collaboration reinforces Verily’s role as a key technology partner, providing secure, cloud-based access to invaluable biomedical data for researchers worldwide.

A Foundation of Collaborative Success

Verily has been a trusted technology partner with VUMC since the All of Us Research Program’s inception in 2018. This long-standing collaboration has been instrumental in establishing the Researcher Workbench as a robust and accessible platform. Currently, the Workbench serves a vast global research community, boasting over 17,000 registered researchers from all 50 states and more than 1,100 organizations. This widespread adoption has fueled over 18,000 active studies across diverse areas of biomedical research, demonstrating the platform’s significant impact.

Empowering Accelerated Biomedical Research

The continued partnership will see Verily working alongside VUMC and other collaborators to further refine the Researcher Workbench. Dr. Paul Harris, PhD, FACMI, FIAHSI, Vice President for Research Informatics and Director of the VUMC Office of Research Informatics, emphasized the importance of this ongoing effort. “We have long collaborated with Verily on enabling researchers to access and analyze All of Us’s one-of-a-kind data resource,” said Dr. Harris. “We are excited to continue this effort to provide an enhanced platform to researchers, in order to accelerate biomedical research, ultimately benefiting participants and society.”
