Eli Raises $12M to Launch the Hormometer™, The World's First Real-Time Hormone Monitor

What You Should Know:

– Eli, a health technology company, announced it has raised $12M in Series A funding to scale its vision for real-time hormone monitoring led by BDC Capital’s Thrive Venture Fund, with participation from Muse Capital, TELUS Global Ventures, and other key investors. This brings the company’s total funding to $20M.

– The new capital will be used to bring the Hormometer™—the world’s first instant hormone monitoring system—to millions of people, addressing a significant gap in personalized health.

The Problem: Challenges with Hormone Health

Hormones are fundamental to nearly every aspect of health, from stress, energy, and sleep to fertility and longevity. Yet, traditional testing methods provide only a single snapshot in time, often days or weeks after symptoms appear. This is a critical limitation, as hormones like cortisol can fluctuate by as much as 100% in a single hour.

This “snapshot” approach has led to a widespread and underdiagnosed health crisis:

  • 1 in 3 adults show signs of cortisol dysregulation.
  • 60% of adults will experience symptoms related to hormone imbalances.

Despite how common these issues are, the tools to understand our hormones in real time have not existed—until now.

The Solution: The Hormometer™

Eli has built what was missing: a way to track hormones instantly using just saliva and a smartphone. The Hormometer™ is the first real-time hormone monitor, providing results in minutes without labs, sample shipments, or waiting. The new layer of digital health intelligence gives users a live view of their biology, providing not just a number, but context. This allows individuals to understand what’s happening in their bodies now and take immediate, informed action.

The Hormometer™ is the result of years of R&D and deep technology development. Eli has built an end-to-end system that includes:

  • Biochemistry designed specifically for microfluidics.
  • AI and machine learning to interpret dynamic hormone signals.
  • Custom hardware manufactured in-house.
  • 12+ patent-pending innovations across science, engineering, and design.

After years of development, Eli has reached commercial readiness, completed third-party validations, and is currently running a private beta with early adopters.

Expansion Plans

The new funding will enable Eli to accelerate its growth, with a focus on:

  • Scaling production of the Hormometer™.
  • Expanding access to a wider audience.
  • Unlocking more biomarkers, starting with cortisol and progesterone.
