What You Should Know:

– Berry Fertility unveils a significant app update, introducing a powerful suite of new tools designed to simplify and support every stage of the fertility journey, including IUI, IVF, egg freezing, and embryo transfers.

– Berry Fertility is a comprehensive patient management platform designed for individuals undergoing IVF, IUI, embryo transfer, and egg freezing.

Addressing Growing Demand and Access Gaps in Fertility Care

Fertility care is experiencing unprecedented demand, yet access to services remains a challenge. Egg freezing cycles have more than doubled in the past five years, with each year marking record growth. The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology’s most recent official data reveals a 39.2% surge in egg freezing cycles, the largest single-year numerical increase on record. Despite this, Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) services like IVF still meet less than 30% of patient needs. Berry Fertility is actively working to bridge this access gap by providing a platform that delivers personalized, tech-enabled fertility support directly to patients.

New App Features to Empower Patients

With this latest rollout, Berry Fertility customers gain access to a range of enhanced functionalities:

  • Step-by-Step Treatment Guides: Users can now access simplified breakdowns of complex care plans, helping them understand what to expect from IUI, IVF, egg freezing, embryo transfers, and timed intercourse.
  • Medication Management: The app offers improved tools for organizing medications and dosing instructions, providing clear medical information and how-to guides. To date, Berry has delivered over 200,000 medication reminders.
  • Smart Medication Input: Patients can use their phone’s camera to quickly scan and import dozens of medications directly into the app.
  • Comprehensive Tracking: A custom fertility calendar allows users to stay on top of appointments, symptoms, lab results, milestones, and reminders. Tracking symptoms and storing lab results facilitates more informed discussions with healthcare providers.
  • In-Depth Resource Library: The app provides access to a wealth of information at every treatment stage, including articles, protocol diagrams, videos, common FAQs, and a fertility glossary.
  • Support Network Sharing: Patients can share their fertility treatment journey with a partner, parent, or friend, allowing their support network to follow along and offer assistance.
  • Expert Chat: Users can chat with the Berry team anytime for help with treatment questions, technical issues, or emotional support.

“Our team at Berry is made up of patients who have gone through fertility treatments themselves,” said Irene Alvarado, co-founder and CEO of Berry Fertility. “We built Berry to be the tool we all wished we had — something that makes fertility care more accessible, less stressful, and a whole lot more human.”

Availability and Recognition

Berry Fertility is available in all 50 U.S. states, as well as Mexico, Australia, and Canada. The app currently boasts a five-star rating in the App Store, significantly exceeding the industry standard of 2.4 stars. Berry offers both a free tier and a premium version for $9.99/month or $72/year.
