What You Should Know:

–  Dreem Health, a leading digital sleep clinic managed by The Sunrise Group, has announced a strategic partnership with Humana, one of the United States’ foremost health and well-being companies.

– Effective immediately, Humana members will receive coverage for Dreem Health’s full suite of digital sleep services—including at-home testing, clinical diagnosis of sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and personalized treatment plans.

Dreem Health and Humana Partner to Expand Access to Digital Sleep Care Nationwide

Obstructive sleep apnea remains a significantly underdiagnosed condition in the U.S., with an estimated 30 million individuals affected but only 6 million diagnosed—leaving roughly 80% of cases unaddressed. This care gap has prompted Dreem Health and The Sunrise Group to collaborate with Humana to extend access to innovative, clinically validated sleep technologies.

Since 2015, Sunrise has been a pioneer in at-home sleep diagnostics. Its proprietary Sunrise® home sleep test has been validated in peer-reviewed literature and recognized by leading sleep medicine experts. With the acquisition of Dreem Health in 2024, Sunrise now offers a full-service, digital-first sleep care model—from diagnosis to treatment—supported by a multidisciplinary team spanning sleep science, machine learning, and clinical care. Headquartered in Belgium with operations in France and the United States, the company is positioned to reshape global sleep health.

The Sunrise Group’s platform addresses the systemic neglect of sleep health, which has long been linked to serious conditions such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, and mental health disorders. Its end-to-end model includes:

  • A validated at-home diagnostic tool
  • A digital care clinic staffed by licensed providers
  • A treatment infrastructure supported by payer partnerships

According to Laurent Martinot, CEO and Founder of Sunrise, “Sleep health has long been overlooked in healthcare, perpetuating preventable disease and inequity. By partnering with Humana, we’re bridging this care gap—especially in underserved communities—and bringing sleep diagnostics and treatment into the mainstream.”

Dreem Health is now accessible across 50 U.S. jurisdictions, with full nationwide availability anticipated by mid-2025. In addition to Humana, the clinic is also in-network with Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, and Health Net of California.

With this partnership, Sunrise cements its leadership in digital sleep care and underscores its mission to democratize access to high-quality, affordable sleep health solutions.
