Mandira Singh, President at Synapse Health

What You Should Know:

– Synapse Health, a company focused on advancing the durable medical equipment (DME) industry toward value-based care, has announced the appointment of Mandira Singh as its new president.

– Singh initially joined Synapse Health in August as a senior advisor and is now becoming part of the company’s expanding executive team. This team is focused on modernizing the DME ecosystem to better serve patients, prescribers, and DME provider partners.

Singh Bio/Background

Prior to joining Synapse Health, Singh previously served as senior partner and chief platform officer at Habitat Health, launching the business, a joint venture with Kaiser Permanente in PACE, focused on elder care and vulnerable patients. Before that, she was head of product and chief operating officer of Collective Medical; upon its acquisition by PointClickCare, she was named senior vice president and general manager for the acute and payer business. In this role, Singh focused on driving growth for more than 1,000 hospitals and every national health plan in the U.S.

Singh also was executive director at athenahealth, where she launched its marketplace and API-driven platform, delivering the first 200+ innovative apps to clients. Singh earned her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and her bachelor’s degree in economics from Vassar College.

“I’m grateful to help lead Synapse Health as we embark on a multi-phase expansion with payers, prescribers and DME provider partners who are excited to collaborate and bring forth an optimized DME experience that better serves patients,” Singh said. “We’re working to elevate the role of suppliers and share our tech-enabled solutions to ensure a better and more seamless journey from the point of order to delivery. I’m thrilled to be a part of a change-minded team that is just as passionate as I am about finding ways to iteratively improve market conditions, reduce administrative burdens and keep patients at the center of healthcare.”
