What You Should Know:

– Endeavor Health, a Chicagoland-based integrated health system announced the development of a groundbreaking, fully cloud-based digital pathology platform in collaboration with Google Cloud, establishing a novel model poised to reshape the future of this critical medical field.

– Endeavor Health’s pioneering model represents a significant leap forward from previous industry efforts to explore digital pathology. By establishing the first fully connected, cloud-based, and patient-centered approach, Endeavor Health is rapidly advancing the field.

Driving Need for Universally Applicable Digital Pathology Model

Endeavor Health’s strategic partnership with Google Cloud was driven by the need for a universally applicable digital model capable of elevating pathology services not only within the Endeavor Health network but across the broader healthcare landscape. This digital pathology system will streamline collaboration among physicians by facilitating the effortless sharing of digital files for second opinions, ultimately leading to more informed and confident diagnoses. Furthermore, it will empower patients to become more active participants in their healthcare journey.

“To truly transform patient care, digital pathology must move beyond isolated systems that can’t connect to each other and embrace a safe, seamless and personal approach,” said John Groth, MD, a pathologist at Endeavor Health and lead for the digital pathology project. “This will allow us to drive transformation and advance diagnostics in ways that make a positive impact for patients across our system and deliver the best care now and in the future.”
