What You Should Know:

–OMNY Health, the leading healthcare ecosystem for compliant real-world data insights at scale, today announced it has become the first electronic health record (EHR) company to offer its real world data (RWD) dataset on Datavant Connect powered by AWS Clean Rooms through its Lighthouse Partner Program.

– This collaboration builds upon the success of OMNY Health and Datavant’s longstanding relationship to enhance clinical research and drug development.

OMNY Health and Datavant Advance Cloud-First Data Discovery to Accelerate Real-World Evidence Generation

OMNY Health™ is redefining data access and collaboration in healthcare through a national data ecosystem that connects health systems, specialty networks, academic medical centers, and integrated delivery networks across all 50 states. With coverage of over 85 million patient lives and eight years of historical data—encompassing more than 4 billion clinical notes from 1 billion patient encounters and 500,000+ providers across 200+ specialties—OMNY serves as a centralized, research-ready infrastructure powering the next generation of clinical innovation.

Designed to eliminate the inefficiencies of traditional data acquisition, OMNY’s platform allows healthcare provider groups and life sciences organizations to scale data sharing and research collaboration efficiently. The platform reduces reliance on slow, manual feasibility assessments that often yield mismatches between acquired datasets and research needs.

To address this gap, OMNY Health has partnered with Datavant and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to leverage its expansive EHR dataset through AWS Clean Rooms. This approach enables secure, multi-party data analysis without requiring physical data movement—revolutionizing how real-world data (RWD) is accessed, evaluated, and activated. The collaboration enhances early-stage feasibility assessments and reduces the time it takes for life sciences companies to translate data into actionable insights.

“OMNY Health stood out early as a trailblazer in adopting a cloud-first strategy to make real-world data more accessible and actionable,” said Arnaub Chatterjee, President and GM of Life Sciences, Ecosystem, and Public Sector at Datavant. “By enabling data sources like OMNY Health to seamlessly leverage AWS Clean Room capabilities, we’re not just improving feasibility assessments—we’re redefining how research teams access, evaluate, and activate data.”

This latest milestone builds on OMNY and Datavant’s strategic relationship, which began in 2021. Through Datavant Connect, users have gained access to OMNY Health’s tools for standardizing, normalizing, and de-identifying EHR data into research-ready formats. Over the past four years, the partnership has expanded access to a broader range of provider and patient data, unlocking deeper analytical insights and enriching real-world evidence capabilities across the healthcare ecosystem.

In parallel, OMNY recently announced the addition of 4 billion clinical notes to its network—transforming unstructured clinician documentation into valuable data assets. This development addresses one of the industry’s longstanding challenges: unlocking insights from free-text medical notes to support scalable research.

Together with Datavant and AWS, OMNY Health is accelerating the transition to secure, cloud-first data discovery—minimizing friction, reducing time-to-insight, and advancing the future of real-world data in clinical research.
