– In his new role, Dr. Bloomfield will spearhead ŌURA’s global healthcare programs and partnerships, ensure adherence to evolving healthcare regulations, and foster cross-functional collaboration to drive the development of new hardware and software features. Dr. Bloomfield Bio/Background
Dr. Bloomfield brings a wealth of experience from Apple, where he served as Clinical and Health Informatics Lead. During his tenure, he was instrumental in the launch of key features, including Apple’s Health Records on iPhone and iPad.
Prior to Apple, Dr. Bloomfield served as the Director of Mobile Technology Strategy at Duke University Health System. He was a pioneer in health data interoperability, leading the implementation of the first API on an Epic-based electronic health record (EHR) using the FHIR standard. His work at Duke also included collaboration on a large-scale app-based autism research study and clinical practice as a hospitalist in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
