What You Should Know:

– Samsung Medison, a global leader in medical equipment, has unveiled its latest innovation in women’s health: the Samsung Z20, a premium AI-powered ultrasound system designed for advanced OB-GYN applications.

– The Z20 made its U.S. debut at the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) 2025 conference in Denver, Colorado, showcasing its cutting-edge features and commitment to improving patient care.

Improving Diagnostic Accuracy

The Z20’s advanced imaging capabilities, powered by Samsung’s Next-Generation Crystal Architecture™, deliver exceptional image quality, even in challenging cases such as high-BMI patients. This enhanced image quality improves diagnostic accuracy and enables earlier detection of potential complications.

The Z20 integrates a suite of AI-powered tools to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency. A key addition is Live ViewAssist™, a real-time deep learning tool that simplifies advanced OB exams by:

  • Automatically identifying 39 views and performing quality assessments in real-time.
  • Automatically labeling up to 47 anatomical structures and performing 46 essential measurements.
  • Reducing keystrokes by up to 94%, minimizing repetitive tasks and improving efficiency.

Samsung Medison’s partnership with Sonio, a leader in AI-powered ultrasound reporting and image management, further enhances the capabilities of the Z20. Sonio’s secure, cloud-based platform integrates seamlessly with the Z20, providing clinicians with a comprehensive solution for managing ultrasound data and workflows.
