What You Should Know:

– Iron Health, a tech-enabled women’s health company, announced its acquisition by Metronomic, Inc., a digital health company specializing in innovative solutions for maternity care. This strategic move, finalized on December 30, 2024, marks a significant step towards expanding access to comprehensive and integrated women’s healthcare.

– As part of the acquisition, Iron Health will continue to operate as an independent entity, ensuring continuity of its existing care delivery model and services. The acquisition will allow Iron Health to leverage Metronomic’s digital health platform and resources to enhance its offerings and reach a wider audience.

Creating an End-to-End Solution for Women’s Health

The integration of Iron Health’s services with Metronomic’s Materno™ pregnancy management platform will create a comprehensive solution that addresses the needs of women across both the obstetrics (OB) and gynecology (GYN) segments. This integrated approach will provide a seamless experience for patients and enhance care coordination between providers. Materno™ enables OBGYN clinics to seamlessly integrate remote monitoring and care management services, extending the reach and impact of clinic-based care.

Iron Health’s Comprehensive Services

Iron Health offers a wide range of services, including:

  • Primary care: Addressing general health needs and preventive care.
  • Behavioral health: Providing support for mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Weight management: Offering personalized programs to achieve healthy weight goals.
  • Pregnancy support: Providing guidance and resources for expectant mothers.

Iron Health’s platform facilitates faster access to care, improves care coordination, and increases the utilization of ancillary services. This helps to alleviate provider burnout and enhance patient outcomes.

Leadership Changes

As part of this transition, Iron Health will undergo a leadership change. Dr. Sujith Krishnan, the founder and CEO of Metronomic, will assume the role of CEO at Iron Health. He succeeds Stephanie Winans, the founder and CEO of Iron Health, who will ensure a smooth transition over the next three months. Iron Health’s Customer Success team, led by Lydia Valdez, and Care Delivery team, led by Elizabeth Skafish, will continue in their roles, providing uninterrupted support throughout this process.
