What You Should Know:

– Hinge Health announced a new collaboration with Amazon Health Services to feature Hinge Health’s leading musculoskeletal (MSK) care platform on Amazon.com. Hinge Health is the first digital MSK platform to join Amazon Health Services’ offering that aims to help people discover and enroll in digital health programs available through their employer or health plan at no additional cost.

–  Approximately 40% of adults in the US suffer from a MSK condition, including back, joint, or muscle pain. But awareness and access to care is limited, often leading to missed work, costly surgeries and reliance on pain medication. Hinge Health is changing the way treatment is delivered, providing MSK care that is designed to be accessible, affordable, and completely personalized to a person’s needs.

Hinge Health and Amazon Collaboration Expands Access to Evidence-Based Musculoskeletal Care

Hinge Health, a leader in musculoskeletal (MSK) care, provides a comprehensive platform combining software-driven, AI-powered delivery with wearable devices and expert clinical care. The platform includes licensed physical therapists, physicians, and board-certified health coaches to help individuals treat and prevent joint and muscle pain. Notably, members report:

  • A 68% average improvement in pain.
  • A 58% reduction in depression and anxiety after 12 weeks of use.

The 2024 State of MSK Care report highlights the underutilization of healthcare benefits, with:

  • 46% of respondents indicating a lack of understanding of their employer-provided benefits.
  • Nearly 70% admitting they do not fully leverage available benefits.
This presents an opportunity to bridge the awareness gap and improve benefit utilization among individuals seeking MSK care.

In collaboration with Amazon, Hinge Health is making its programs more accessible. When Amazon customers search for products related to back, joint, or muscle pain, they may now discover Hinge Health’s services and check their eligibility directly through the Amazon Health site. Eligible individuals complete a brief questionnaire to access personalized MSK care plans, which include:

  • Exercise therapy and education.
  • Access to the FDA-cleared Enso wearable device for non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief, tailored for those experiencing significant movement-related pain.
Each treatment plan is managed by a dedicated care team, ensuring high-quality, individualized support.

Daniel Perez, Co-Founder and CEO of Hinge Health, emphasized the potential impact of this collaboration: “Amazon’s extensive reach, combined with Hinge Health’s evidence-based care platform—already utilized by over 1 million people—enables more individuals to address chronic pain effectively.”

This partnership underscores Hinge Health’s mission to help individuals move beyond pain, broadening the reach of its innovative MSK care solutions.
