What You Should Know:

– GoodRx, a leading prescription savings platform in the U.S., is expanding its offerings with the launch of a new e-commerce solution. This service allows consumers to purchase eligible health products and medications directly on the GoodRx platform and have them shipped to their homes.

– Opill®, the first FDA-approved daily oral contraceptive available over the counter, will be the inaugural product offered through this new service.

Expanding Access to Healthcare

This strategic move marks GoodRx’s entry into the over-the-counter (OTC) market and provides a convenient new channel for consumers to access essential health products. The partnership with Opill addresses significant gaps in healthcare access, particularly for women in contraceptive deserts – areas with limited access to reproductive healthcare services.

Benefits of GoodRx’s E-commerce Solution

GoodRx’s e-commerce solution offers several key benefits:

  • Convenience: Consumers can order health products and medications from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for a doctor’s visit or prescription for eligible products like Opill.
  • Accessibility: This service expands access to essential healthcare products, particularly for those in underserved communities.
  • Affordability: GoodRx leverages its expertise in prescription savings to offer competitive prices on OTC products.
  • Partnership Opportunities: Provides consumer health and pharmaceutical brands with a new channel to reach a wider audience through the GoodRx platform.

“We are thrilled to launch our e-commerce solution with Opill, an initiative that underscores our mutual commitment to more accessible healthcare,” stated Dorothy Gemmell, Chief Commercial Officer at GoodRx. “This new feature will provide patients with a simple, seamless way to obtain their eligible medications, building on how GoodRx has already made prescription medications more affordable and accessible for millions of consumers. It also paves the way for other OTC brands and pharma partners to leverage our platform’s reach to expand market presence, increase consumer access to essential medications and ultimately help drive growth.”
