FemTech: Flo Health Secures $200M for Women's Health Platform

What You Should Know:

– Flo Health, the world’s leading women’s health app raises $200M in Series C funding from General Atlantic. This investment propels Flo’s valuation beyond $1B, marking a major milestone for the company and the femtech industry.

– The new funding will enable Flo to expand its user base, invest in research and development, and explore new opportunities in the women’s health market. The company plans to focus on expanding into perimenopause and menopause care, enhancing its AI-driven health insights, and pursuing strategic partnerships.

Expanding Women’s Healthcare Beyond Period Tracking

Flo is committed to supporting women throughout their entire health journey, from menstruation to menopause. With over 120 medical experts, the app offers a comprehensive range of features, including cycle tracking, symptom monitoring, and personalized health insights. The company has also launched Flo for Partners to involve and educate partners in women’s health.

With nearly 70 million monthly active users and close to 5 million paid subscribers, Flo has established itself as a dominant force in the femtech market. The company’s rapid growth and innovative approach to women’s health have contributed to its valuation as the first purely digital consumer women’s health app to achieve unicorn status.

“Reaching unicorn status is a significant milestone for Flo and the entire femtech industry,” said Dmitry Gurski, co-founder and CEO of Flo Health. “When we started Flo, we identified a huge gap in women’s health services. Now, we’re a leader in a global movement to make women’s health a priority everywhere. We’re already helping hundreds of millions of women, and our goal is to reach 1 billion women through our global pro-social program. This initiative provides free access to Flo Premium across 66 countries, including India, Indonesia, and Nigeria, with nearly 12 million women already benefiting. We’re committed to building a better future for female health, where every woman feels understood and supported, regardless of her location or economic status. This investment from General Atlantic will help propel Flo Health’s growth as we continue normalizing conversations about women’s health, improving health literacy, and raising awareness of women’s health issues worldwide, especially in underserved regions. ”
