What You Should Know:

– LG Electronics launches its latest addition to its diagnostic monitor lineup, the 21HQ613D-B. This 21.3-inch 5-megapixel (MP) IPS monitor has received FDA clearance for digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis.

– The new 5MP monitor is designed to improve workflow efficiency by providing healthcare professionals with the tools they need to accurately and comfortably review medical images.

Enhanced Image Quality and User Experience

The 21HQ613D-B boasts exceptional image quality with a resolution of 2,048 x 2,560, a luminance of 1100cd/m², and a contrast ratio of 1800:1. Its internal front calibration sensor and LG Calibration Studio software ensure consistent and accurate image display, meeting stringent quality control standards.

The monitor offers several features to enhance user experience and workflow efficiency, including:

  • Focus View Mode: Allows users to focus on specific image areas by dimming the rest of the screen.
  • Multi-Resolution Mode: Enables quick adjustment of screen resolution to suit different image types.
  • Daisy-chaining: Supports multiple monitor setups for improved workspace organization.
  • Ergonomic stand: Offers adjustable tilt, height, swivel, and pivot for optimal viewing comfort.
  • Hotkeys: Provide quick access to settings and modes.
  • Presence Sensor: Conserves energy by automatically turning off the display when no motion is detected.
  • Down Light and Wall Light: Improves visibility in low-light environments.
  • Auto Luminance Sensor: Automatically adjusts screen brightness based on ambient conditions.

“LG’s new 5MP diagnostic monitor is tailored for reviewing mammograms and breast tomosynthesis, providing a high-quality medical imaging display with both simple management and practical features for users,” said Stephen K. Hu, LG Business Solutions USA’s head of medical displays. “We’re dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions for the medical sector with our display technologies, and the addition of the latest 5MP monitor underscores this commitment to innovation.”
