What You Should Know:

–              Transparency, a harm reduction organization providing at-home drug testing kits for any substance, today announced its official launch and formation as the parent organization of the Bunk Police.

–              Celebrated for its strong impact in the harm reduction space, the Bunk Police provides critical education and drug testing services to enhance safety and awareness among music festival and concert attendees.

Transforming Harm Reduction: The Evolution and Future of Drug Safety

Transparency, building on 13 years of impactful experience in the harm reduction space, aims to revolutionize drug safety. Originating as a one-man operation and evolving into a globally recognized team, The Bunk Police was a pioneer in harm reduction. Transparency continues this legacy by empowering individuals to test substances before consumption, providing essential tools and resources for informed decision-making in the substance use space. This expansion includes reaching additional at-risk markets and distribution channels, releasing novel harm reduction tools and resources, and preparing to launch a new line of innovative and affordable test kits.

Drug-related deaths are a leading cause of mortality among U.S. adults aged 18-45, often due to dangerous adulterants like fentanyl found in both recreational and prescription drugs. The pharmaceutical market faces increasing risks, with 25% of Americans (approximately 42 million people) struggling to afford medications. To cut costs, 8% of the population turns to unregulated online pharmacies or foreign sources, where counterfeit drugs are common. Consumers of hormones, steroids, sexual wellness medications, and weight maintenance products from underground sources are equally vulnerable. Transparency addresses this critical need by ensuring that individuals have access to reliable testing methods.

Despite the life-saving potential of substance test kits, public awareness remains low, and a stigma around drug testing persists. Kits, while available online, are often inaccessible at traditional retail channels such as pharmacies, head shops, and convenience stores. Transparency’s upcoming line of test kits aims to address issues of shelf life, accessibility, portability, and affordability. The vision is to make test kits an essential tool for anyone consuming drugs or medications, providing critical defense against adulteration.

Leveraging technology and media, Transparency introduces a new AI-powered Harm Reduction app. This app enables customers to access research, use kits with ease and accuracy, and interpret test results. Transparency also continues The Bunk Police’s presence in investigative media with the release of the documentary *Poison Pills*. This documentary showcases an undercover investigation of licensed Mexican pharmacies selling dangerous, laced pharmaceuticals, featuring hidden-camera footage and expert interviews.

“We believe that everyone has the right to safe, tested substances,” said Auctor. “Our goal is to raise awareness, reduce the stigma surrounding drug use, and make our test kits as ubiquitous as at-home COVID tests, ensuring they are available to anyone who needs them.”

Auctor has self-funded $1M in research to build the world’s largest substance reaction library.

Poison Pills highlights several alarming findings: fentanyl pills being sold as legitimate pain pills, a pharmacist offering to sell tens of thousands of pills, advice on microwaving and snorting veterinary ketamine, and a threat to kill an undercover investigator. The documentary also includes jaw-dropping results from the company’s pill testing and never-before-seen interviews with industry experts and government officials.

Transparency is poised to lead the next wave of harm reduction, ensuring safety and informed decision-making in substance use.
