What You Should Know:

– Color Health, a leader in comprehensive cancer care, announced today that it is partnering with SkinIO and Bexa to integrate their innovative solutions for skin and breast cancer screening into its Virtual Cancer Clinic.

– The collaboration aims to significantly increase cancer screening and detection rates, making early diagnosis more accessible for employers and individuals.

Bringing Cutting-Edge Screening to the Workplace and Beyond

  • SkinIO: This AI-powered app allows users to perform full-body skin exams with their smartphone or iPad, even at home or during workplace events. SkinIO connects at-risk individuals with dermatologists for further evaluation if needed.
  • Bexa: Bexa offers pain-free and accurate breast exams in under 30 minutes using a unique pressure elastography technology and ultrasound. The Bexa Breast Exam is available onsite at workplaces and provides immediate results.

Color’s Comprehensive Approach to Cancer Care

These partnerships build on Color’s existing Virtual Cancer Clinic, the first and only platform offering cancer screening solutions directly in the workplace. Color’s program goes beyond screening by providing:

  • Clinical Team Support: Following screenings, Color’s team manages and coordinates follow-up care and diagnostic testing.
  • Care Advocate Guidance: Dedicated care advocates support individuals throughout the process, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate care.
  • Primary Care Physician Integration: All results are shared with the member’s primary care physician for seamless continuity of care.

Addressing the Screening Gap

This initiative tackles the prevalent issue of low screening rates for skin and breast cancer, often due to cost, inconvenience, and fear of potential diagnoses. By making these innovative technologies accessible, Color aims to:

  • Increase Early Detection: Early detection is crucial for improving cancer outcomes and reducing mortality rates.
  • Reduce Healthcare Costs: Early diagnosis can significantly lower healthcare costs associated with later-stage cancer treatment.
  • Empower Individuals: Convenient and accessible screening options can encourage individuals to prioritize their health and take control of their cancer risks.

Availability and Impact

These new screening services will be available to Color Health customers starting September 1, 2024. This collaboration has the potential to significantly improve cancer screening rates and empower individuals to take charge of their health.

“Color is committed to providing our customers with an innovative platform to provide comprehensive cancer care, helping them take control of cancer’s impact on their populations. By adding new partners to our platform, we can work with employers and unions to design a customized program that meets their members where they are,” said Josh Sturm, Chief Revenue Officer for Color Health. “Our goal is to lower every possible barrier to cancer screening, which is why we’ve been able to nearly double cancer screening rates with our customers. We’re proud to show up for our customers with robust cancer screening solutions and wrap-around care and support models that deliver true results.”
