MatrixCare, Health Gorilla Partner to Streamline Post-Acute Care with Secure Data Exchange

What You Should Know:

– MatrixCare, a provider of technology solutions for post-acute care facilities, has announced a strategic partnership with Health Gorilla.

– The strategic integration empowers MatrixCare to seamlessly integrate comprehensive patient data into its Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform, leveraging Health Gorilla’s robust national network.

Challenges of Fragmented Healthcare Data

Effective patient care in today’s healthcare landscape often requires access to a complete medical history across various providers. However, fragmented data systems can hinder communication and make it difficult for healthcare professionals to make informed decisions.

Seamless Data Exchange for Better Care

By joining Health Gorilla’s network, MatrixCare users gain access to a secure and efficient way to exchange patient data electronically. This translates to several key benefits:

  • Actionable Insights: Clinicians can view a more comprehensive picture of their patients’ medical history, enabling them to make data-driven treatment decisions.
  • Improved Care Coordination: Enhanced communication between providers across different care settings leads to smoother care transitions and improved overall patient outcomes.
  • Streamlined Workflow: Secure data exchange eliminates the need for manual data entry, reducing administrative burdens and allowing caregivers to focus on patient care.

MatrixCare: Pioneering TEFCA Integration

The partnership marks a significant milestone, making MatrixCare the first post-acute EHR to leverage Health Gorilla’s federally designated QHIN (Qualified Health Information Network) for TEFCA (Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement) transactions. This enables secure, bi-directional data exchange across a vast network encompassing over 220 million patients, 750,000 clinicians, and 147,000 care sites nationwide.

“We’re thrilled to incorporate an innovative organization like MatrixCare into our QHIN,” said Steve Yaskin, CEO and Co-founder of Health Gorilla. “MatrixCare has a long history of providing cutting-edge solutions to the post-acute and home health markets, and its commitment to enhancing interoperability and improving patient outcomes aligns perfectly with our mission at Health Gorilla. Together, we look forward to revolutionizing how health information is exchanged and accessed, ultimately benefiting patients and providers alike.”
