What You Should Know:

– AstraZeneca, a global biopharmaceutical company, has announced the launch of Evinova, a new business venture dedicated to providing cutting-edge digital health solutions that address the evolving needs of healthcare professionals, regulators, and patients.

– With long-term support from AstraZeneca and strategic partnerships with Parexel and Fortrea, Evinova aims to become a leading provider of globally-scaled digital products and services for the life sciences and healthcare sector.

Digital Solutions for Clinical Trials

Evinova’s initial focus will be on bringing established and scaled digital technology solutions to market, leveraging AstraZeneca’s proven expertise in optimizing clinical trial design and delivery. These solutions have already demonstrated their effectiveness in reducing the time and cost of developing new medicines, bringing care closer to home for patients, and alleviating the burden on healthcare systems.

Expansion into Remote Patient Monitoring and Digital Therapeutics

Evinova will also pursue opportunities in digital remote patient monitoring and digital therapeutics, with a pipeline of innovative solutions in these areas. Drawing on AstraZeneca’s deep experience in developing novel therapeutics and insights from thousands of patients and clinical researchers, Evinova will provide established technology solutions to pharma, biotech, and CROs to support clinical research globally.

Partnership with Parexel and Fortrea

Evinova’s success is built on collaboration. Globally leading CROs Parexel and Fortrea have entered into agreements to offer Evinova’s digital health solutions to their extensive customer base. Additionally, Evinova is partnering with Accenture and Amazon Web Services to accelerate industry adoption and expand the global reach of its digital products.

Pascal Soriot, Chief Executive Officer of AstraZeneca, expressed his optimism about the future of medicine and the role of digital solutions. He stated, “The future of medicine development can be accelerated with digital solutions. We believe Evinova’s combination of scientific expertise and track record in developing AI-enabled digital technologies at scale provides a real opportunity to fundamentally improve patient care, drive healthcare transformation, and reduce carbon emissions.”
