- UnitedHealthcare, the largest health insurance company in the United States, will begin providing coverage for the Eversense E3, a Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System effective July 1, 2023 for people with type 1 and insulin-requiring type 2 diabetes.
- Eversense, brought to people with diabetes by Ascensia Diabetes Care, is a CGM System indicated for continually measuring glucose levels in persons age 18 years and older with diabetes for up to 6 months. The system is the longest lasting CGM option available, enabling effective, accurate and flexible diabetes management.
- With this addition, there are now approximately 300 million covered lives in total across the country, meaning that almost all adults in the United States can access the benefits of this highly-differentiated CGM option.
