What You Should Know:
– Point32Health (the combined entity of Harvard Pilgrim and Tufts Health Plan) and Wellthy, the tech-enabled caregiving support company, are launching a new collaboration to support caregivers.
– Through this new program, commercial members of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan’s fully-insured health plans throughout New England will now have access to Wellthy, the market-leading solution for caregiving. The partnership demonstrates a commitment by Point32, and an ongoing effort from health plans more broadly, to address the caregiving crisis and the huge effects it’s having on the well-being of caregivers, who are prone to depression and declines in their physical health.
– Starting on January 1, 2023, fully-insured (commercial) members of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan, will be able to use Wellthy to help care for themselves or a loved one, even if the person they are caring for is not on their current health plan – at no additional cost. With Wellthy, these members will gain valuable support and resources across several areas of care and life stages including medical, financial, housing, in-home, legal, and social/emotional considerations.
