Marpai Health Acquires Continental Benefits to Launch First Smart Health Plan System

What You Should Know:

– Today Marpai Health announced that it will acquire third-party administrator Continental Benefits. Marpai brings deep learning to self-insured health plans, which will allow for the processing of comprehensive data to increase quality care, reduce costs, simplify the healthcare experience, and empower plan members to live healthier lives. The transaction is expected to close in April 2021.

– Continental Benefits, owned by Damien Lamendola, is a national healthcare payer and acts as a third-party administrator or “TPA” handling all administrative aspects of providing healthcare to self-insured employer groups. Continental Benefits operates in all 50 states with tens of thousands of members and provider network agreements with Cigna and Aetna. 

– Marpai’s SMART health plan system, grounded in deep learning, empowers members to drive their healthcare with informed decisions, guided by future insights aimed at connecting providers, employers and patients to achieve better healthcare outcomes, radically reduce healthcare costs for self-insured companies and their employees.

– This news is the first of many from Marpai Health, as they continue to expand their footprint in the health plan market. Marpai Health’s SMART Health Plans Service System is designed to improve health outcomes and radically reduce healthcare costs for self-insured companies and their employees. The goal of the SMART Health Plans Service System is to improve lives and radically reduce healthcare spending by empowering members, employers and providers to get ahead with deep learning and SMART automation.
