WellCare Health Plans Taps VirtualHealth as its Care Management Platform

VirtualHealth, the leading provider of population health and care management technologies, announced that WellCare Health Plans, Inc. will deploy VirtualHealth’s nationally recognized platform to support millions of members enrolled in its Medicare and Medicaid health plans across 20 states. WellCare will leverage VirtualHealth’s extensive capabilities across care management, including multi-source integration, risk stratification, trigger-based tasking, clinical automation, care planning, service management, and real-time analytics.

A leader in delivering high quality, cost-effective care, WellCare provides more than 3.2 million Medicare and Medicaid members with access to more than 450,000 care providers. As part of its implementation, VirtualHealth will work with WellCare to build workflows and processes to identify and optimally manage high-risk members in each of its markets.

VirtualHealth is the first platform to comprehensively solve the technology challenge of value-based care. The secure, cloud-based platform features unparalleled interoperability, deployment speed, and configurability, and offers healthcare organizations the ability to replace multiple legacy components with a single integrated platform.

“VirtualHealth is excited to collaborate with one of the most successful and innovative healthcare organizations in the country,” said Adam Sabloff, founder and CEO, VirtualHealth. “VirtualHealth and WellCare have a shared focus on improving health outcomes through next generation technology, and we look forward to empowering care for millions of WellCare members through our platform.”
