MEDITECH

EHR vendor MEDITECH has announced the launch of MEDITECH as a Service (MaaS), a new private, cloud-based monthly EHR subscription model being offered initially to Critical Access Hospitals (CAH). MaaS will provide healthcare organizations with MEDITECH’s latest EHR technology designed to improve organizational efficiency and ensure quality patient care. The integrated EHR solution is obtained through a monthly subscription, allowing organizations to quickly procure a cost-effective, modern EHR system with simplified contracting.

The MaaS suite of tools includes:

– MEDITECH’s Web EHR, which features web-based physician tools, interoperability solutions, standard content, patient access, revenue cycle, and clinical decision support capabilities.

– Using evidence-based best practices and the latest implementation techniques, CAHs will be able to implement and go-live with the latest version of MEDITECH within a six-month timeframe.

– Operated in a centrally-hosted private cloud infrastructure with high levels of physical and network security, MEDITECH experts are responsible for upgrades and ongoing maintenance—allowing hospital IT staff to focus on business operations.

“MaaS allows healthcare organizations to get up and running with our intuitive Web EHR solution, all with a level of ease that is uncommon in this industry,” MEDITECH President and CEO, Howard Messing said. “We’re providing these organizations with a cost-effective EHR to meet care quality goals, all with an inherent user experience. It’s another example of MEDITECH’s commitment to pushing healthcare forward with disruptive innovation and productivity.”

“This is an important step in driving EHR access and adoption for care organizations of all sizes,” Messing said. “Reducing the complexity and cost of procuring and maintaining an EHR will allow these hospitals to focus their resources on patient care, productivity, and meeting regulations.”
