Bon Secours Taps Tonic Health to Implement Patient Intake And Payments Platform Across Ambulatory Network

Bon Secours Virginia Health System has selected Tonic Health to implement its cloud-based patient data collection and payments platform across its ambulatory network. Bon Secours Virginia chose Tonic to digitize and integrate its largely paper-based intake and payments process. By simplifying patient check-in, Bon Secours frees up staff and clinicians to spend more time directly helping patients rather than being burdened with administrative tasks. The Tonic platform will be integrated with Bon Secours’ athenahealth and Epic EHR  in order to create a single view of the patient for clinicians.

Tonic’s best-in-class platform allows health systems to provide patients with the ability to complete intake forms and make payments on any device anywhere (phone, tablet, and computer). It replaces error-prone and inefficient manual processes with a simple yet visually engaging digital experience that boosts overall staff and patient satisfaction. The patient check-in initiative includes making it easier and more convenient both to complete all types of intake surveys (including risk assessments and consent forms) and make any type of payment (including co-pays and any past balances due). Tonic’s unique scalability and customization will also allow Bon Secours to quickly and seamlessly expand the use and value of the platform to other key patient data collection needs across the enterprise.

“Patients are tired of paper forms, wooden clipboards and confusing payment processes,” said Sterling Lanier, CEO of Tonic Health in a statement. “We are excited to collaborate with Bon Secours Virginia in offering the superior health care experience its patients have come to expect from a trusted leader like Bon Secours.”
