Health optimization platform Welltok has expanded its partnership with IBM Watson Health to leverage new new Watson Health capabilities to deliver comprehensive solutions for engaging populations in health and well-being. As part of the expanded partnership, Welltok’s CaféWell Health Optimization Platform® will provide health managers with the ability to extend beyond care management and drive additional value by creating a holistic, seamless consumer experience.

Adding IBM Watson Health’s broad capability footprint, will create a flexible solution that encompasses all aspects of health – from episodic clinical care to maintaining optimal health – and supports value-based care across the payer, employer and provider markets.  Along with Watson Health’s healthcare expertise and diverse health data and analytics, Welltok will develop industry leading tools capable of assisting consumers, providers, and other stakeholders in their efforts to optimize health and wellbeing.

With this new partnership, Welltok and IBM continue to build on their successful relationship which has included:

– Co-development of the first IBM Watson-powered consumer health application, CaféWell Concierge.

– Recently, the introduction of a “Virtual Benefits Agent” which leverages cognitive computing technology to answer benefit questions and guide consumers to cost-effective resources.

– Offering the Welltok CaféWell solution for IBM employees and dependents to experience as a singular, engaging consumer health application for benefits and wellbeing programs.

“Welltok has created an incredibly robust health engagement solution aiming to deliver a Personal Health Itinerary for each and every user,” said Zaher El-Assi, IBM Watson Health Vice President Go-to-Market Transformation. “We look forward to helping them provide population health managers with a powerful solution which systematically communicates and engages with consumers throughout their healthcare journey.”
