AllscriptsAllscripts has acquired Core Medical Solutions, an Australian-based healthcare IT software provider, to expand its EHR offerings to support proactive care management for clinicians and consumers of care in Victoria and Western Australia. Allscripts currently supports more than 85 hospitals throughout Australia. Under terms of the acquisition, Core Medical Solutions will continue to be based in Adelaide, South Australia, and will operate as an Allscripts subsidiary. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Founded in 2001, Core Medical Solutions (CMS) provides EMR solutions to support Australian hospitals in their journey towards effective EMR solutions. The company’s flagship product,
BOSSnet is also an intuitive and adaptive EMR which makes daily clinical practice easier by enabling greater speed and quality in capturing and distributing health information.

“Our acquisition by Allscripts empowers us to continue to provide Australian hospitals with the solutions they need to enhance their healthcare delivery and responsiveness. Australian hospitals will be able to deliver improved clinical care as we integrate with Allscripts’ innovative products, including Sunrise PAS and EMR module, as well as EMR-agnostic population health solutions including dbMotion™,” said Rohan Ward, Co-Founder of Core Medical Solutions in a statement.
