drchrono Delivers All-inclusive Mobile EHR Experience

Direct Urgent Care has implemented drchrono EHR to support its growing urgent care business and its new facility opening today in Mountain View, CA. Today, doctors are moving their practice to a more mobile environment and want to help their staff manage patient information directly from an iPad. Direct Urgent Care has embraced this vision and drchrono worked closely with them to design a unique mobile EHR solution that meets the needs of its growing urgent care medical facility network.

Over the past two years, Direct Urgent Care’s facility located in Berkeley, California has been using the drchrono platform on iPads to successfully optimize the patient experience from check-in to managing patient medical records, insurance and medical billing payments. As a result of using drchrono EHR, Direct Urgent Care has been able to process approximately 15,000 patients per year reducing overhead costs significantly and has improved reimbursements from insurance companies by over 30 percent. To date, Direct Urgent Care’s Berkley facility has 50 staff members that use the drchrono EHR and the new facility in Mountain View will staff approximately 25 to start.

Direct Urgent Care is an upscale non-traditional urgent care facility that offers a wide variety of services for children and adults all under one roof. They streamline the process of accessing urgent care by making it more convenient, accessible and a more pleasant experience for the patient. Direct Urgent Care centers assist clients with an illness or injury that is not life threatening but still needs urgent evaluation. Direct Urgent Care also offers a mobile clinic, which allows clinicians to visit their patient and document the patient visit via an iPad.
