Consumer Healthcare Engagement Company Accolade Names New CEO

Today, consumer healthcare engagement company Accolade announced that Rajeev Singh has joined the company as CEO and member of the company’s Board of Directors. Singh was most recently co-founder, president and chief operating officer of one of the most successful Software as a Service companies in the world, Concur (acquired by SAP in 2014 for $8.3B). Accolade founder Tom Spann will shift from the CEO role to vice chairman of the board and chief operating officer.

Two other senior Concur execs will also be joining the leadership team at Accolade. This move will strengthen Accolade’s technology, product and go-to-market leadership. Accolade is a technology-enabled consumer healthcare engagement services company for large employers, payers and provider organizations, headquartered in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Accolade is the leading technology-enabled consumer healthcare engagement services company for large employers, payers and provider organizations. Its solution, Accolade Health Assistant®, offers a single point of contact for any health benefits or healthcare need. Accolade’s health assistants is backed by an expert team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and other specialists that take the time to listen to the individual and to understand what else is going on in their lives that might be impacting decisions.

Additionally, the company will be creating a new office in Seattle, which will serve as a dual headquarters with the current HQ outside Philadelphia. The new Seattle office will tap into the market’s strong health and innovation talent.

“Accolade has transformed the healthcare experience for consumers, employers and health plans – driving world-class engagement and satisfaction levels for consumers while cutting costs for payers,” said Singh in an official statement. “The people at Accolade have succeeded in building the industry’s best high-touch consumer engagement model with a unique culture that puts clients first. We have the opportunity to couple this with world-class product and data science initiatives to deliver a service that reaches more people and improves more lives.”
