HealthTap Launches Enterprise App for Managing All Employees’ Healthcare Needs

HealthTap, a digital health company set to reinvent the way people all over the world take care of their health and well-being has unveiled their new enterprise app called Compass. The new HealthTap Compass will serve as a hub for managing all employees’ healthcare needs, from information to prescriptions and even lab test referrals and interpretations, and will replace the traditional “benefits card.”

As part of the announcement, HealthTap has partnered with supply chain company Flex (formerly known as Flextronics) provide the more than 200,000 Flex employees of Flex the unique ability to tap in to immediate, personalized healthcare from a network of more than 73,000 top U.S. doctors—from anywhere in the world—in real-time.

How It Works

HealthTap’s Compass offers a new type of healthcare navigator that will give Flex employees and their dependents access to a range of medical services via any mobile device or personal computer. It provides individualized, informed healthcare from discovery through consultation and delivers timely reminders, health tips, and tools for ongoing health management. Flex employees will find useful information, exchange secure instant messages with top doctors, and even access immediate video consultations. They will also be able to obtain referrals to the right specialists—each of whom are covered by Flex’s insurance plan—to avoid unnecessary visits and costs.

“Flex is all about helping the world live smarter, and we are dedicated to bringing intelligent solutions to how our employees access healthcare and manage their health and well-being,” said Mike McNamara, CEO of Flex. “HealthTap offers a query-to-cure system that will provide Flex employees a simple, immediate, and personalized way to tap in and access health services from a network of top U.S. doctors, helping to curb costs.”

In addition to Flex, HealthTap’s Compass is available for other employers, as well as insurance companies who are committed to helping their employees and dependents manage their health and well-being efficiently, compassionately, and cost effectively.
