HIMSS Names Its 2014 Award and Scholarship Recipients

Recognizing outstanding contributions to HIMSS and the healthcare industry, HIMSS has named its 2014 award and scholarship recipients. The HIMSS Foundation and three HIMSS chapters provided seven scholarships to students enrolled in health IT and management systems degree programs. 

Award winners are nominated in four award categories: 

– industry service

– HIMSS service

– publications

– chapters.

All award and scholarship recipients will be honored at the HIMSS Awards Gala on Tuesday, April 14, from 6:30 – 9 p.m. CT, at the Chicago Hilton Grand Ballroom, 720 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, Ill. during the 2015 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition on April 12–16, in Chicago, Ill. 

The 2014 HIMSS award and scholarship recipients appear below with a description of each award and scholarship:
