Medfusion

Medfusion, a leading provider of patient portal software for more than 9.7 million patients, has launched its new integration to the Allscripts Pro EHR, available now for customers. This integration enables discrete data and secure messages to flow more efficiently between practices and their patients and creates a foundation for Medfusion to independently launch innovative new features to customers in the years to come.

To ensure there would be no interruption to customers’ 2014 Meaningful Use attestation, Medfusion built the custom integration to Allscripts Pro EHR in just three months, launching the software to customers on September 15, 2014, as promised. When implemented, the new integration duplicates familiar workflows and user interfaces to provide customers with a seamless transition for staff and patients.

This integration is one in a series of many full EHR integration development investments the company feels is vital to its goal of broad interoperability. “At Medfusion, we feel it is critical for all healthcare vendors to embrace interoperability, and we work with many vendors to give patients access to their health data no matter what electronic health record system their provider uses,” said Vern Davenport, president and equity partner of Medfusion. “This integration to Allscripts Pro EHR is just one in a series of integrations designed to help better connect patients, healthcare providers and data.”

Some of Medfusion’s other integrations include one with NextGen EHR®, scheduled for release this Fall, as well as three powerful new features that have just been added to their solutions for GE Centricity® CPS/cEMR: eStatements, discretely integrated Patient Forms, and a simple Provider-to-Provider solution. A stable of other integrations with Greenway™, Elekta, and nearly a dozen other EHR providers round out Medfusion’s interoperability landscape.
