Today, HP Enterprise Services has signed a $172 million dollar renewal contract with the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration to manage the state’s Medicaid Management Information System. HP will help the state of Florida transition to a managed care environment and help control rising costs associated with pending program changes which includes implementing federal HIPAA 5010 requirements and supporting the move to ICD-10 procedure coding.
The agreement will extend HP’s contract through June 2016 and has provided fiscal agent support and business process outsourcing services to the agency since July 2008. Florida has more than 3.1 million residents with Medicaid benefits.
