This privacy policy defines how HIT Consultant collects and manages user data according to the following Privacy Policy, with the goal of incorporating our company values: transparency, accessibility, sanity, usability.

What We Collect

  • other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers

HIT Consultant may contact you, by email or other means. For example, HIT Consultant may send you promotional emails relating to HIT Consultant or other third parties HIT Consultant feels you would be interested in, or communicate with you about your use of the HIT Consultant website. Sharing of Data

We don’t share your personal information with third parties. Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve the HIT Consultant Website and service. We currently use Google Analytics (traffic analysis, SEO optimization) and Mailchimp (mailing list management). We listed below what data these third parties extract exactly.   • Google Analytics: anonymous (ad serving domains, browser type, demographics, language settings, page views, time/date), pseudonymous (IP address)
  • Mailchimp: name and email of our beta subscription list

We also use social buttons provided by services like Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and Facebook. Your use of these third party services is entirely optional. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices of these third party services, and you are responsible for reading and understanding those third party services’ privacy policies.

We employ and contract with people and other entities that perform certain tasks on our behalf and who are under our control (our “Agents”). We may need to share personal information with our Agents in order to provide products or services to you. Unless we tell you differently, our Agents do not have any right to use Personal Information or other information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. You hereby consent to our sharing of Personal Information with our Agents.

We may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, user information is typically one of the transferred business assets. HIT Consultant Comment Policy

We never censor comments based on political or ideological point of view or of a critical nature. We reserve the right to delete those comments that are off-topic, “spammy” in nature, abusive, use excessive foul language, or include ad hominem attacks.

Once a comment is made public on the HIT Consultant website, we will not remove it by request. As a user, you are responsible for your own communications and are responsible for the consequences of their posting.

Comments will only be considered for removal (i) in response to legal process, for example, in response to a court order, or (ii) in response to a law enforcement agency’s request, or where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take actions regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of another person, violations of our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

All comments and other content contributed to HIT Consultant shall adhere to the following policy, and may be edited or removed at HIT Consultant’s discretion if it is deemed to be in violation of this policy.

I. Personal Attacks: Please don’t engage in personal attacks (on authors, other users or any individual), persistent trolling or mindless abuse. The HIT Consultant community should focus on intelligently discussing topics by furthering the conversation and informing the participants with resourceful and constructive ideas.

II. Hate speech: Racism, sexism and homophobia will not be tolerated.

III. Language and Threats: Please watch your language and respect other people’s views, beliefs and emotions. We reserve the right to remove any content that might be found extremely offensive or threatening.

IV. No Spam: Spam and advertising content will be removed.

V. Smear Tactics: Although we acknowledge criticism of our articles and our writers, we will not allow misrepresentation. We will distinguish between constructive arguments and smear tactics.

VI. Relevancy: Please keep conversations relevant. Off-topic comments are subject to removal in order to keep the thread on track.

VII. Quality: We encourage you to take responsibility for the quality of the conversations in which you’re participating. Maintain intelligent discussions in the HIT Consultant community by being respectful and considerate.

VIII. Help us: Maintain an inviting interaction space by self-policing threads and flagging spam. Although we have a hands-on approach to community engagement, we do sometimes miss problem commenters or trolls. We appreciate your efforts to keep the HIT Consultant community environment inviting, insightful and constructive. Let the conversations be quality ones.

Webinars and White Papers

By accessing a webinar or white paper content asset, you agree to your contact information being supplied to the sponsor of that content asset. Only the information that you have supplied will be sent to the sponsor. Once you provide your contact information through our form, your information will be supplied to that sponsor even if you have previously opted out of receiving information from HIT Consultant sponsors.

If we make major changes in the way we collect or use information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on the Website or sending you an email. In any case, you can track all changes via the TOS Tracker. A user is bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when he or she uses the Services after such changes have been first posted.
